With Phil Larder

Phil Larder is the acknowledged professor of individual and team defence. On this course, he explains the exact details of the philosophy and organisation which won England the World Cup and served two Lions tours. Illustrated by uniques DVD of England squad training, tackle techniques and practices are explained and developed, together with all dimensions of defensive communication. The implications of set piece play on subsequent open field defence are carefully considered. Phil also discusses other forms of defence and considers the advantages and disadvantages of them all. This is a theoretical course throughout, which features extensive DVD illustration from England and Worcester in both training and match situations.

This course has been delivered to all the RFU professional coaching staff.
