This course is the ideal introduction for teachers new to teaching or coaching hockey. It will introduce all the basic skills, together with practices to develop these with young players. Specialist dimensions, such as the penalty corner, will be covered in some detail, equipping teachers to deliver sessions and officiate matches with confidence. It will provide knowledge of the Rules of the game - including the newer rules such as the "self pass" - as well as practical advice for umpiring school matches with players of all levels of ability.
