Significant recent rule changes have created difficulties for school umpires. The introduction of the self-pass and changing rules regarding free hits has caused confusion at many levels. This course aims to equip school umpires with a firm understanding of all Rules - both old and new. Additionally, this course provides practical advice for teachers umpiring school hockey, aimed at encouraging not just knowledge of the Rules, but also the confidence to apply them with empathy at all levels.
