Athletics for Key Stage Two

This course makes the transition from Early Years and Multiskills approach into the emerging skills of Track and Field athletics. With a range of activities suitable for indoors, playgrounds and fields of all sizes, the basis of all running, jumping and throwing events will be covered. There is a focus on finding success for all pupils, whilst at the same time presenting specific skills that will develop into formal track and Field events at a later stage. Adapted spaces and equipment mean that schools can keep all pupils meaningfully active with differentiated tasks that ensure success.

This will also allow schools that wish to do so to operate the ESAA Award Scheme, and to run an inclusive sports day with activities for everyone.

With the London Olympics on the horizon, track and Field Athletics will come to dominate the attention of children. Use this to stimulate the 2012 generation.
