Tom Solesbury

Tom is a full time rower with the GB squad, preparing for the 2012 Olympics. He has been in the Great Britain squad since 2005, winning a bronze medal in the 2007

World Championships.

This is a unique opportunity to learn direct from Olympic oarsmen.  Current technical thinking will be explained, including methods of preparation of the GB squad preparing for the London Olympics in 2012.  A variety of stroke drills, practice sequences and psychological factors will enable school coaches to make a real impact upon the performance of their crews.

A combination of practical activity – in rowing tank and on rowing machines – together with demonstration and DVD analysis will enable coaches to develop a real depth of knowledge
