National Conference for Directors of Sport in Prep Schools

This is the biggest assembly of Directors of Sport in Independent Schools in Britain, and aims to support people in  leadership roles in school sport.

As usual, the Conference programme is varied, and offers the opportunity to learn from recent research, as well as modern approaches to the question of physical activity in schools.  It also offers Directors of Sport the chance to enhance their own leadership capacities to increase their effectiveness in their own schools.

The morning is devoted to the place of physical activity in schools, and the role of the Director of Sport as a leader and ambassador for the benefits of physical activity.  The afternoon brings together leading thinkers and researchers into sports coaching and delivery to assist schools in building delivery programmes and mechanisms which are informed by science, rather than history.

As usual, there will be significant opportunities for networking and sharing views with like minded professionals.  This includes the very genial Conference Dinner on Thursday evening.

We look forward to seeing you in Oxford at PADSIS 2018.
