An inspirational Director of Sport is required to join a well-established and vibrant sports department in a lively and ambitious school. The successful candidate will have a passion for sport and be a gifted and experience teacher, preferably with previous management experience. The Director of Sport would also be Head of Academic PE.
At Bishop’s Stortford College, the sports department inspires the whole school, from being introduced to their first specialist taught PE or swimming lesson aged 4, to those pursuing a career in Sport at University. We are looking for our next Director of Sport to take responsibility for the leadership and management of sport across the College and continue to inspire and enthuse our pupils and staff.
The successful candidate will work in an environment with excellent facilities and manage a team with a wealth of expertise and experience. They will ensure that excellent standards of teaching and coaching are delivered, resources and facilities are deployed efficiently, and the best possible sport provision for all pupils is delivered.
Terms and Conditions of the Role
This role is a full time position. The College operates Monday to Saturday, inclusive, in term time. Salary will be paid in line with our College Teacher Scale with an additional management responsibility allowance. The payment for this role will be according to qualifications and experience. Our scale is above national average. The position will commence on 1 September 2019.
