With university finished, a world of opportunity lies ahead.

If you are a graduate with a serious sporting pedigree and looking to develop your skills for a career in teaching or professional coaching, an opportunity to join one of the United Kingdom’s premier boarding schools might just be the right step forward.

Uppingham School has, arguably, the very best sports facilities in the country and is undergoing a number of exciting changes as it drives towards sporting excellence. For our aspirations to be met, we want to recruit talented graduates to join our world-class sports coaching team.

At Uppingham, you will play a full part in the life of this seven-day week boarding school. In addition to sports coaching, you will be attached as a tutor to one of the School’s fifteen boarding houses and will be expected to assist the Director of Sport with the administration of sport throughout the School.

The School’s major sports are hockey, rugby, netball, cricket, tennis, cross-country and athletics and coaching abilities in one or more of these sports would be advantageous. Coaching qualifications and development will be available to support you, and significant coaching experience and formal coaching qualifications are not expected.

Applications are welcome from graduates in any subject. Some classroom teaching experience may be offered if appropriate.

Accommodation is available.
