An outstanding opportunity for a talented, experienced and inspirational individual to take the lead in overseeing all aspects of school sport in order to promote sporting participation and excellence within the School and beyond.

Charterhouse is a beautiful school and a wonderful place to live and work. It was founded in 1611 and moved to its present magnificent 250 acre site near Godalming in 1872. The School has over 800 pupils aged between 13 and 18, all of whom, except for about 40 ‘day boarders’, are boarders.

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and sporting-minded individual to work within a dynamic and ambitious School.

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified to coach sport, and possess a positive track record of achievement in sports leadership, communication and management, demonstrating the capability to turn a vision into results with a strong sense of kindness and emotional resilience, putting the sporting and pastoral care of all pupils at the heart of activities. Organised, driven and open to new ideas and ways of working, the successful candidate may be an existing Head of Department looking to specialise or an established sports coach looking to take the next step in their career.
