Oundle School is seeking to appoint a Residential Assistant Sports Coach – Strength and Conditioning to support the Sport and PE departments on a fixed term contract from 31 August 2021 to 2 July 2022. Due to the Term time nature of the role, you will work 33 weeks over the ten-month period.
Salary £13,579 for a ten-month contract, plus free accommodation. Full time (40 hours per week) role working term time only.
The role of Resident Assistant Sports Coach – Strength and Conditioning is to assist in the delivery of the Strength and Conditioning programme within the sports department. This role would suit a recent graduate considering a career in strength and conditioning, or sports coaching. There is also the opportunity to develop teaching practice should an applicant wish to pursue a career in teaching.

Duties include helping to deliver first class team and specialist 1-1 strength and conditioning coaching within the Sports Department, whilst assisting with pastoral duties and contributing to the thriving co-curricular life of the School. The position is open to talented sportsmen/women with a desire for a career in coaching or teaching, regardless of their degree subject. There is a generous package of CPD opportunities and funding available, alongside strong links with partnering professional clubs and organisations.
We are looking for people who are passionate about sport and wish to develop and engage enthusiastic and energetic pupils. You will ideally have played and coached sport to a high standard. We require candidates with coaching expertise in strength and conditioning, ideally within a school setting. Ideally, you will also have coaching expertise in at least two of Oundle’s leading sports of Rugby, Hockey, Cricket or Netball.
