Cricket for Girls Level 2 Teacher CPD:  Progressing Softball & Transitioning to Hard Ball (PART ONE)

With Lydia Greenway, Thursday, 4 March or Monday, 26 April 2021 Via Zoom, 6.30 - 8.00pm UK Time

Dates & Venues

    For teachers with existing experience and understanding of the game. The level 2 course will provide delegates with a deeper understanding of all aspects of the game, including technical drills to help develop and challenge players. The course will be delivered by Lydia Greenway and will include explanations and video demonstrations for each element of the course:

    Part 1: Will focus on developing batting techniques and advanced fielding: 

    • How to introduce running between the wickets
    • How to progress running between the wickets
    • How to introduce the cut shot
    • How to develop players ability to hit the gaps
    • An introduction to the Cricket for Girls Fielding Framework
    • Insight into England players preparation and skill development

    Lydia Greenway

    Lydia represented England during a career spanning 13 years with 225 appearances in all formats of the game. One of the most capped players to play for England. Lydia played an integral part in winning both the 50 over  and T20 ICC World Cups in 2009. Lydia is also a five times Ashes winner. Since retiring Lydia has built and developed Cricket for Girls which specialises in supporting schools and clubs in the development of women and girls cricket, Lydia also coaches at the elite level, most recently working with the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash as assistant coach. Lydia also launched the Female Cricket Store in June 2020 and continues to commentate on the game for both Sky and BBC.
