Pat Lam continues to be regarded as one of the biggest names in World Rugby and is currently leading ‘Bristol Bears’ into a new successful era of Premiership Rugby.
Through video analysis and exclusive footage, Pat will illustrate how ‘Bristol Bears’ have prepared for the recent 2020 season and the tactics they have deployed to manage their players and staff, both on and off the field, to achieve success.
This theory-based course is aimed at coaches working in schools at 1st & 2nd XV level. It will include considerable technical detail on how attacks and defences are now structured, coached and developed and how effective management of both players and staff can help to create a winning high-performance environment.
In 2017 Pat Lam was appointed Director of Rugby at ‘Bristol Bears’ in the English Premier League. Prior to this appointment, Pat coached some of the top sides across the globe, as well as on the International Stage including: Connacht, Samoa, Auckland and Scotland, winning the Pro12 with Connacht in 2016. As a player Pat started his career at Auckland and then Crusaders before joining Northampton and Newcastle. During this time, his successes included winning the Premiership, Heineken Cup and being voted RPA Player of the Year. He also captained and represented Samoa in three World Cups.
