Teaching Children to Swim with Nick Gillingham
Dates & Venues

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we do not have any courses scheduled. We will be releasing dates as soon as regulations change.

Teaching children how to learn to swim, still remains one of the most important lessons in the school curriculum and a vital part of a child's personal development. This course provides teachers with everything they need to confidently deliver their lessons in line with up-to-date practices: it will ensure that children are actively engaged in learning exciting new skills. It will demonstrate how teachers can build pupil confidence in the water, and then develop this into specific swimming techniques.

This new course delivers and focuses the new 'Swim England' Athlete Development Support Pathway Model in relation to learn to swim 'FUNdamentals'. It will focus on Core Aquatic Skills. Through video analysis and practical demonstrations, it will break down the vital components of modern learn to swim coaching techniques and movement literacy. Delegates are given the opportunity to enter the water and work on their own technique should they wish.
