Steve has coached Volleyball for as long as he has played (over 35 years in total), gaining the highest International qualification (FIVB Level 3) in the sport in 2011; and one of few that hold this honour in England. He was responsible for coaching the England Women’s Development Squad at Loughborough University, and this led to a full-time position working for the NGB as Coach Education and Development Manager, largely responsible for the design, development and distribution of the new UKCC qualifications for the sport. Towards the end of 2010, he supported the the Sitting Volleyball game working with the GB Women’s team leading up to the London Paralympics of 2012. Six months out from the games, he was seconded full-time to the role of Head Coach of the Women’s Sitting Volleyball Team in London. He has extensive experience of working with teachers, coaches and other tutors. He currently teaches at the University of Northampton in Sports Coaching and Development.
