This course is aimed at teachers and coaches who are required to umpire school games at U11 to U-15 age groups. It seeks to provide them with knowledge both of the rules and also of their practical application in a school setting. There will be extensive video illustration, to ensure that participants can be confident of their capacity to officiate matches.

Course Leaders
Matt Taylor
Matt Taylor is the current head coach of Nottingham University, who won the BUCS championships in 2015 and 2022. He was previously head coach of Beeston HC in the Men’s Premier Division, winning three championships between 2010-2014. He has also helped developed 60+ junior players gain presentative honours for the National Age Squads as well as having coached 40+ senior Internationals. As a player Matt won seven Championship titles with Cannock HC.
