This hockey course is aimed at players who are already competing in a Talent Academy environment, looking at how you can still create stretch and development opportunity in the school environment.

Key Tactical Considerations;
- Defending; when to commit multiple players to the ball
- How to use 'key' players in effective out-let situations
- Where to position 'key' players in the transition moment to be most effective
- What attacking principles to apply to maximise the super strengths of your most attacking players
Physical Considerations;
Physical Assessments which are completely tailored to specific positions and how to enhance a players ability to be effective in that position.

Course runs 10am – 3.30pm. Prices include refreshments, lunch and resources. In the event of you needing to cancel a place on a course, please note we require 10 working days' notice.
Course Leaders
Matt Taylor
Matt Taylor is the current head coach of Nottingham University, who won the BUCS championships in 2015 and 2022. He was previously head coach of Beeston HC in the Men’s Premier Division, winning three championships between 2010-2014. He has also helped developed 60+ junior players gain presentative honours for the National Age Squads as well as having coached 40+ senior Internationals. As a player Matt won seven Championship titles with Cannock HC.
