Coaching Mini Hockey
With Matt Taylor
Dates & Venues
Hockey at Under 13 and below is played 7-a-side. This is the stage at which a sound foundation of basic skills and game understanding is established. Although many of the techniques are similar to the full game, the tactical implications of a smaller pitch demand an alternative approach. The Mini game also allows opportunities to introduce tactical dimensions that will continue into the 11 a side game, such as strategies for long corners, hits around the circle and the self pass.
