Girls' Football is one of the fastest growing sports in schools, with more than 60% of secondary schools already involved in inter-school fixtures. This course is designed to equip teachers with the relevant knowledge and strategies to deliver football programmes and sessions tailored to the needs of female players. No previous experience of coaching the game is necessary. This webinar will focus on an inclusive approach to skill development, exploring best games and practices for coaching female players. It will explain how to foster a positive and supportive environment, to overcome the common challenges presented by promoting girls' participation in football.

Course Leaders
Lauren McMurchie
Lauren is an accomplished female football player with an excellent knowledge of the long term health benefits associated with involvement in sport. She previously played for Glasgow City for 10 years, winning the Scottish Women's Premier League 10 times and competing in the UEFA Women's Champions League. She currently plays for Nottingham Forest FC in the FA Women's National League. Lauren has worked on a number of projects for adidas, Sport England's This Girl Can campaign and community initiatives with established Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa FC.
