    This course is designed for teachers guiding children through their swimming journey from non-swimmers to competent swimmers. Participating in this practical and theoretical session will empower teachers, instilling confidence in the effectiveness and relevance of their lesson content. These objectives aim to equip participants with the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to become confident and proficient swimming teachers, ensuring the delivery of effective, and engaging swimming lessons for students of all levels.

    Course runs 10am – 3.30pm. Prices include refreshments, lunch and resources. In the event of you needing to cancel a place on a course, please note we require ten working days' notice.

    David Rayner

    Dave Rayner boasts over 25 years of experience within the aquatics industry, demonstrating dedication to enhancing the quality of swimming lesson programs. His career trajectory has been marked by significant contributions to the advancement of aquatics provision, particularly in the realm of Learn to Swim initiatives. In 2011, Dave embarked on his journey with Swim England (formerly The Amateur Swimming Association) as an Aquatic Officer serving the East Midlands region. In this pivotal role, he played a vital part in assisting various aquatic providers in elevating their programs and increasing participation. During his time at Swim England he has worked in a variety of roles culminating in his current position as Technical Aquatics Manager within Swim England's Learn to Swim Team. Prior to his tenure at Swim England, Dave held pivotal roles within the leisure industry, spanning both Local Authority and educational establishments. As a manager and course coordinator, he spearheaded initiatives aimed at bolstering quality standards, enhancing retention rates, and driving revenue growth. In addition to his substantive role at Swim England, Dave remains actively engaged as a swimming tutor, delivering courses and workshops on a regular basis. Furthermore, he dedicates significant time to poolside coaching, contributing to the development of aspiring swimmers within his local swimming club with unwavering commitment and expertise.
