Majority of open play goals are scored in transition moments – The Counter Attack. This online course looks at those moments and what we need to encourage from our team to maximise the opportunities. Focusing on;
- What has to happen to the ball
- Roles of players in the ball channel, help channel and ahead of the ball
- Decision making for the ball player
- Passing vs carrying vs dribbling

Matt Taylor
Matt Taylor is the current head coach of Nottingham University, who won the BUCS championships in 2015 and 2022. He was previously head coach of Beeston HC in the Men’s Premier Division, winning three championships between 2010-2014. He has also helped developed 60+ junior players gain presentative honours for the National Age Squads as well as having coached 40+ senior Internationals. As a player Matt won seven Championship titles with Cannock HC.
