Soccer continues to be a rapidly growing sport within independent schools and the challenge for schools and coaches is to adapt with the National game and its ever-changing approach to modern day coaching techniques and practices. This theory-based conference is endorsed by the Independent Schools’ Football Association and is ideal for Heads of football or teacher/coaches coaching 1st & 2nd XI teams.
This Conference will present contemporary content to allow teachers of these age groups to develop their programmes and delivery to ensure that their pupils make optimum progress. Engaging practical sessions will complement the Keynote address, and demonstrate activities designed to create wider impacts. They will show how all pupils can improve these vital skills, including those who struggle with co-ordination.
This two-day practical course is accredited by British Gymnastics and is available for teachers and teaching assistants who hold a QTS or formal qualification or for individuals working towards these qualifications. This course qualifies secondary teachers to teach gymnastics skills appropriate for key stage 3 and 4, focusing on partner work, body management and the importance of safety.
